INTO THE DARK UNSEEN - UNRAVELING YOUR WHOLENESS

YOUR DARKNESS REVEALS YOUR LIGHT

Everything about you holds some kind of beauty in it and wants to be seen by you, by your light. Everything you deny or supress, is what you give some kind of power over you. Your shadow is nothing more than the things about yourself that you don’t see, the parts that are not lit up by your light. It is everything that you are unconsciously running from. Everything that keeps you from being ALL of you.

Slowly bringing your shadows into the light, helps you to live a more embodied, fuller and more authentic life. Life gives us so much and asks nothing in return. The least we can do is to live it. That means all of it. From ecstatic joy to tremendous heartache. And allowing all of this, is how the life we get becomes the life we give.

“Life gives us so much and asks nothing in return. The least we can do is to live it. That means all of it. From ecstatic joy to tremendous heartache. And allowing all of this, is how the life we get becomes the life we give.”

A call into the shadow comes in many forms. Whenever something feels unexplainably uncomfortable, there is something asking for your attention. It could be a confrontation with a body part you hate, a way in which you were disgusted by yourself, or some other kind of disgust you project onto others. But it can also be the beauty you see in others, separating it from yourself.

A shadow photo session can contribute to the visualization of your shadow themes, the things you want to bring into the light. Or it can simply capture the body parts, emotions or expressions you find so hard to love.

This is your invitation to bring it all out for yourself to see, I’ve got the space.

Shadow Photo Session By Rikki Siebens

“A shadow photo session can contribute to the visualization of your shadow themes. Or it can simply capture the body parts, emotions or expressions you find so hard to love.”

I want to hold this space because I know how it feels to be tortured by your own self-image. It can be a prison from which we are able to free ourselves step by step. I’m still exploring my own shadow and it might be an entire life’s journey. But everything I find there brings me to a deeper understanding of life, a deeper living of life, and a deeper love for myself and for those around me. Nothing excites me more than to dig deep into the unseen. The hidden things that hold us back from living life to the FULLEST. I portrayed myself and I dedicated an entire project to it. I had never felt more seen before. And it made me realize how important it is, or how loved you can feel, just to be seen, by the only one who can really see you.
